Upfront Surgical Resection Improves Outcomes for Older Patients With Early Breast Cancer

Robert Hills, University of Oxford, United Kingdom, discusses results from a meta-analysis which demonstrated that immediate surgical resection followed by tamoxifen significantly reduced long-term rates of locoregional progression, distant recurrence, and death among older patients with early breast cancer.

Dr Hills first presented these results at the 2024 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium in San Antonio, Texas.
