Upcoming DFU Studies Aim to Quantify the Level of Increased Perfusion and Oxygenation and Determine the Success of Shockwave Treatment

SANUWAVE® (Suwanee, GA) has announced that enrollment for two upcoming company-sponsored studies is now beginning. The first study, which will be conducted at Vascular and Wound Care Center at University Hospital, Rutgers NJMS, Newark, NJ, and Olive View-UCLA Medical Center, will be focusing on a case study that will determine and quantify the level of increased perfusion and oxygenation during and after the use of dermaPACE®  System on DFUs. The second study, which will be more extensive, will determine the response of DFUs that are treated with an increasing number of shockwaves/pulses along with Standard of Care.
