Regenerative Medicine Products Company Acquired by Global Medical Technology Business

Smith & Nephew is looking to engage in the regenerative medicine market and has agreed to acquire Osiris Therapeutics, Inc. Osiris’ two main products, Grafix® and Stravix®, accounted for more than 70% of their revenue in the first nine months of 2018, and are heavily integrated into the United States’ skin substitute market. These companies are both focused on improving and restoring quality of life for patients, and the goal of this acquisition is to allow for greater access to the existing products.
