New Technology for Smart Bandages and Plasters

A first patent application has been filed by Redsense Medical AB (Stockholm, Sweden) for a new smart optical measurement technology that measures substances such as blood and exudate. The technology will be useful inside bandages and adhesive plasters by measuring parameters such as temperature and pressure. It is an improvement of the company’s already patented platform for its blood leakage alarm used during hemodialysis.
