Incontinence Company Receives Grant for Treatment

Elidah (Monroe, CT), an incontinence therapy company, received a National Science Foundation grant and a Department of Defense contract to continue developing its neuromuscular stimulation technology. The first grant was awarded in order to fund further development of Elitone, a wearable electrical stimulation device for the treatment of mild to moderate stress and mixed incontinence. The second grant, as part of the Defense Health Agency Small Business Innovation Research program, is intended for developing and adapting the treatment for injured service members. Both awarded grants totaled $150 000 each.
