FDA Asks for Comment Following Chronic Wounds Workshop
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently held a 2-day scientific wound healing workshop to discuss nonhealing chronic wounds. The recordings of the workshop are available to view here:
FDA is very interested in hearing from all stakeholders (patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, translational researchers, Industry, etc.), not just those who were able to attend the workshop, on experiences with nonhealing chronic wounds. Hearing directly from stakeholders helps FDA’s regulatory decision making and ultimately enhances the Agency’s mission to protect and promote the public health of Americans.
Make your voice heard! A Federal Register Notice (FRN) for the workshop includes questions that FDA has posed to stakeholders. Click here to access. The specific questions posed to stakeholders which FDA is seeking input on are in “Section III. Request for Specific Public Comments.” After reading the questions in Section III, submitters should go to the top of the document and click the green icon “SUBMIT A FORMAL COMMENT,” and answer the posed questions, or add any other comments they would like FDA to receive.
Comments are due by June 28, 2022.
