Company Receives Contract for Incontinence Product

Crawford Healthcare (Doylestown, PA) announced that its Touchless Care Zinc Protectant Spray received an Innovative Technology contract from Vizient, Inc (Irving, TX), the nation’s largest member-driven health care performance improvement company. The contract, which is awarded only to technologies that enhance clinical care or patient safety, was based on a recommendation by hospital experts on a member-led council.

The spray is designed to treat incontinence-associated dermatitis. With a formula made with 25% microfine zinc and 20% dimethicone, the product creates a breathable, translucent protective barrier over the epidermis. The noncontact application process allows for use on sensitive, private, or irritated areas as well as reduces pain and the potential for cross contamination.
