Company Raises $1.6 Million for Marketing

Imbed Biosciences (Fitchburg, WI), a medical device developer for chronic wounds and tissue repair, announced that it has raised $1.6 million to begin marketing its wound and burn dressing, MicroLyte Ag. The dressing, an ultrathin, absorbent sheet with a polymeric surface coating of ionic and metallic silvers, received US Food and Drug Administration approval in August 2016. The company expects the product to officially launch in the summer of 2018.
