Clinical Outcomes of Autograft Discussed at SAWC
PolarityTE, Inc (Salt Lake City, UT), shared the results of clinical research outcomes of its regenerative tissue products at the Symposium on Advanced Wound Care, held November 2-4, 2018, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The product highlighted is the company’s proprietary SkinTE, a human cellular- and tissue-based product (HCT/P) derived from the patient’s own skin. During the 3-day conference, the company exhibited and shared findings with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, researchers, podiatrists, and more in attendance.
In the session “What’s New in Wound Care Technology,” Mark Granick, MD, shared clinical outcomes from his experiences with the HCT/P. Previous studies have shown the HCT/P can regenerate full-thickness, functionally-polarized skin, including hair and glands.
