Advancement in NPWT Drape Technology Aims to Reduce Risk and Improve Patient Satisfaction

KCI, an Acelity Company (San Antonio, TX), announced their 510(k) clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration for DERMATAC™ Drape. This silicone-acrylic hybrid drape conforms to different anatomical locations and provides a tight seal for 48 to 72 hours. This drape was also designed to allow healthcare providers the ability to place and reposition the drape during the dressing application. The ease of application and the ability for faster dressing changes could ultimately lead to increased patient satisfaction and decreased time for training for clinicians.
