Featured Product Description:
PROFORE is a multi-layer elastic sustained compression bandaging system, which provides effective, graduated, sustained compression. PROFORE provides higher pressure at the ankle, with decreasing pressure exhibited at the calf. PROFORE provides sufficient absorptive capacity to manage exudate for a full week. PROFORE has been clinically proven to successfully close 79% of leg ulcers in 12 weeks.¹

Advice for Clinicians:
How to decide which product to use:
Select PROFORE for the management of venous leg ulcers and associated conditions.
PROFORE Lite is a Reduced Compression Bandaging System designed for the management of ‘mixed’ etiology leg ulcers where assessment has identified some degree of arterial impairment, which prevents the use of full compression.
PROFORE Contraindications: Do not use on patients with an ankle brachial pressure index of less than 0.8 (PROFORE) or 0.6 (PROFORE Lite) or on diabetic patients with advanced small vessel disease.
Moffatt CJ, et.al. Randomized trial comparing two four layer bandaging systems in the treatment of venous leg ulceration. Poster presented at: Symposium on Advanced Wound Care and Medical Research Forum on Wound Repair; April 1997; New Orleans, LA.
