MÖLNLYCKE ANNOUNCES LICENSING AGREEMENT FOR SKIN CARE PRODUCTS
Mölnlycke Health Care (Gothenburg, Sweden), a medical device company, has reached a licensing agreement with Rochal Industries (San Antonio, TX), a biomedical research and development company. The collaboration will initially focus on the introduction of skin care products to strengthen Mölnlycke’s current skin care offerings, according to company officials. The two companies have also signed a joint development agreement for future products.

RENOVACARE GETS PATENT FOR SKINGUN
RenovaCare Inc., a developer based in New York, NY, and Pittsburgh, PA, has been awarded a United States patent for its SkinGunTM device.
Officials report there’s now protection provided beyond the year 2035. The issuance of the patent reinforces the company’s current patent protections in Germany. “This formal intellectual property strengthens our competitive position in the marketplace and supports our long-standing conviction that our technology is a novel therapeutic medical device for isolating and spraying human stem cells on to serious burns and wounds,” said Thomas Bold, president and chief executive officer of RenovaCare. This announcement comes on the heels of Roger Esteban- Vives, PhD, an expert in the isolation of specific stem cells ideal for spraying onto burns and wounds, joining the company as director of cell sciences.
