A New Digital Era for TWC
In 2020, as the COVID-19 pandemic has forced so many people to work from home, we’ve all become used to looking more at digital screens thanks to the ubiquitous Zoom meeting. We’ve warmed to the video and podcast content that harnesses the potential of the digital world.
Starting in January 2021, Today’s Wound Clinic will harness that same potential and embrace a bold new era by becoming an entirely digital publication. This December issue will be the last one in print.
Next year we will bring you the same informative text content TWC readers have enjoyed over the last 14 years, with issues focused on the future of telehealth, a year since COVID-19, reimbursement, and Site of Service 11. We are continuing to offer great content in columns like Business Briefs, Let’s Be Frank and Consultation Corner. We will share the insights of the best and brightest authors, including our board members, so your wound clinic can maximize its potential.
In addition, TWC will be posting more video content on a range of subjects, blogs from practitioners and thought leaders, and more Speaking of Wounds podcasts. We need to provide the best possible reader experience on the website and are already working on enhancing the look and functionality of the site. This extra content will offer readers plenty of opportunities to check out our website throughout the month. The switch to digital will also free up restrictions on word counts so we will be better able to post longer or shorter content (sometimes bite-sized articles have a big impact).
The switch from print to digital will have its challenges, but we are committed to serve wound clinics as we have for going on 15 years. Please email me at bmccurdy@hmpglobal.com if you have any suggestions for content, whether it is in text, video, podcast or blog format. No idea or suggestion will be ignored and we will do everything we can to make your ideas, stories, and content reach the audience that needs them.
Thank you very much for your continued support of TWC and know when we look back in a year or two, we will wonder why we didn’t go digital earlier.
