Label Expansion for AD Treatment

The FDA has expanded the approval of an atopic dermatitis (AD) dermal spray to include antimicrobial language and antimicrobial data against clinically relevant microorganisms.

Alevicyn Dermal Spray (Sonoma Pharmaceuticals) is for the treatment of AD without many common side effects of topical steroids and resistance issues associated with the overuse of antibiotics. Often, Alevicyn products are used during and post-treatment of skin cancer surgical procedures.

The Alevicyn Dermal Spray is available by prescription only.
