Deepak Bhatt, MD, MPH, JIC Editor-in-Chief, and Hady Lichaa, MD, discuss the recent iodinated contrast media shortage as well as Dr Lichaa's recent JIC article on an alternative to iodinated contrast that uses gadolinium-based contrast agents, to complement IVUS, in order to achieve the goal of zero-contrast PCI, without raising the risk of CIN.
