PatientPoint, Migraine Again Announce New Partnership

PatientPoint, known as the doctor-patient engagement leader, has announced they will partner with content publisher Migraine Again in an effort to distribute migraine education resources to patients and physicians. The companies hope to provide video content to nearly 5000 primary care and obstetrics/gynecology practices nationwide, offering resources to patients in the waiting room and physicians in the back room.

“PatientPoint and Migraine Again are ideal partners because of our shared mission of empowering patients to live better lives,” PatientPoint Senior Vice President of Content & Creative Kate Merz, said in a press statement. “People with migraine need to know that they have options and, importantly, that they’re not alone. We’re proud to bring these important messages to patients through our platform and our partnership with Migraine Again.”

According to study findings, roughly 1 in 7 patients across the US has been diagnosed with migraine. Additionally, migraine is one of the leading causes for emergency room and outpatient visits. Further, migraine also disproportionately affects women— nearly a quarter of women ages 18-44 suffer from these attacks, including acute headaches, nausea, visual disturbances and dizziness.

The companies will utilize Migraine Again’s comprehensive educational content, which includes interviews with the leading experts in the migraine space, and PatientPoint will provide the information digitally in waiting rooms, as well as in exam rooms, in order to help facilitate discussions between the patient and their physician.

Migraine Again and PatientPoint hope that patients in waiting rooms will be able to take the information from the videos and multimedia learning tools and bring questions to their doctors.

“At Migraine Again, we’ve committed to empowering our readers to take charge of their own health and discover how to effectively manage their migraines—so that their migraines don’t manage them,” Migraine Again Chief Operating Officer Karl Dumas, explained in a statement. “By working with PatientPoint, we’re able to extend our mission and message into the critically important doctor’s office, where we can equip patients with content that enables them to truly partner with their provider to get the best care.”
