Calif. Lawmaker Wants to Track Violence vs. EMS

More than half of paramedics and EMTs responding to an NAEMT survey said they'd been assaulted by a patient. Now California Assemblyman Freddie Rodriguez (D-Pomona), a paramedic for 30 years, is sponsoring a bill that would require private ambulance providers to track physical assaults on personnel and submit that data to the state for posting online.
