Introducing: 24-7 Fire, the newest member of the HSI family of brands

October 28, 2009 – Eugene, Oregon: Now part of the Health and Safety Institute (HSI) family of brands, 24-7 Fire joins American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI), MEDIC First Aid, and 24-7 EMS representing the largest privately held emergency care and response training organization in the world. Through more than 16,000 training centers and 200,000 professional emergency care, safety and health educators in the United States and 100 countries around the world, HSI companies have certified more than 13 million emergency care providers. “These new programs offer an unmatched set of course materials that include dynamic videos and podcasts, interviews with leading fire service experts, critical thinking topics and case studies,” said Jeff Lindsey, Chief Learning Officer for HSI. “24-7 Fire curriculum has been conceptualized directly from nationally recognized subject matter experts in the fire service.” This new professional education series, 24-7 Fire is focused on training for firefighters, fire inspectors, and fire officer development. Training materials are educationally designed with real-life incident footage, nationally recognized subject matter experts, and scenario-based demonstrations. Six classes are offered each quarter and can be conducted by a fire company officer or completed online and is based on the most current recognized standards—including NFPA, OSHA, NIOSH, CDC, and IFSTA. “While serving as a fire chief, educator, and state fire director, I've seen first-hand the great value of distributed learning for meeting the training and education needs of our current and future leaders in the fire and emergency services”, states Adam K.
