Mo. EMS Hold School Bus Crash Drill Day Before Actual School Bus Swerves Off the Highway

EMS agencies took part in their local annual MCI drill, which was a multi-vehicle pile-up including school buses. Then, things got interesting when the following day EMS responded to the real thing--a school bus swerved to avoid a car wreck on the interstate, crashed through the guardrail and flew down a ravine while crashing into trees. While the bus driver remains in serious condition, she is expected to recover and no life-threatening injuries were reported among the 13 students and aid, who have all been released from the hospital.
