Colorado County Approves Ambulance Permits

Aug. 04--The Board of El Paso County Commissioners approved four annual ambulance permits on Tuesday, three for American Medical Response Inc., and one for the Colorado Springs Fire Department.

The four vehicles passed inspections and will join the existing fleet of ambulances that serve the county. The AMR vehicles will serve the entire county, where as the fire department vehicle will serve the city.

The AMR operating permits will be effective as of Sept. 1 and will expire Aug. 31, 2016. One ambulance permit for the fire department was issued effective July 1. It will expire June 30, 2016.
