County EMS in Ohio Made 890 Runs in May
June 08--In the month of May the Lawrence County EMS made 890 runs. Of those the majority were taken to King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland or 280 runs. The next highest number of runs was at 190 where the patients declined to be taken to a hospital.
Runs to the remaining area hospitals were 185 to St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, 103 to Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, 72 to Cabell Huntington Hospital, 54 to St. Mary's Medical Center-Ironton Campus and 6 to the Huntington VA Hospital.
The majority of the runs were made to homes or 557 runs; 104 to a street or highway; and 27 to the county jail. The majority were transported with no lights or sirens or 674 of the runs; 62 required no treatment or transport; 54 required treatment, but no transport; 56 were cancelled calls and 8 were dead on the scene.
