MONOC Partners with Med-Trans to Continue MedEvac Services
(Wall, NJ – January 20, 2010) MONOC Mobile Health Services is pleased to announce that
they have signed a formal contract with Med-Trans Air Medical Transport to become their new
aviation partner for MONOC’s air medical or “MedEvac” program. Med-Trans will begin
service on February 1, 2010 with no lapse in MedEvac service for MONOC’s member hospitals
and the citizens that they serve throughout the state.
MONOC’s MedEvac, MONOC-One, became operational in April of 2006 and has been
providing both inter-hospital medical transportation of critically ill or injured patients as well as
emergency on-scene response for serious trauma incidents. The MedEvac program is one of
several services provided to, and on behalf of, MONOC’s 15 member hospitals. MONOC, a
non-profit hospital cooperative, is the single largest EMS and medical transport provider in New
Jersey, operating over 100 ambulances, 17 paramedic units, the largest fleet of critical care
transport vehicles and employing more than 700 dedicated professionals.
