This program is designed to increase knowledge of appropriate and safe use of NPWT. The activity will provide practical knowledge to all clinicians when using NPWT. Content includes considerations for wound selection criteria, dressing application, device settings, and options for wound irrigation available to NPWT users.

Objectives
- Describe the indications and contraindications of negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) as well as considerations for determining appropriate use
- Select device settings for NPWT relevant to the type of wound and anatomical location
- Outline the key considerations associated with the application of NPWT dressings including peri-wound skin protection, dressing two wounds, and managing challenging wounds
- Discuss both traditional and newer approaches to NPWT related to their mechanisms of action, efficacy, safety, and application
