The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) published updated guidelines of care1 for the management of cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC) in 2018 to outline the most used and most commonly considered options for the surgical and medical treatment of cSCC. These guidelines include recommendations from an expert work group on biopsy, staging, follow-up, and prevention as well as a general outline to approaching care as part of a multidisciplinary team with advanced or metastatic cSCC.
