More men are considering undergoing cosmetic procedures, wrinkle injections and laser skin resurfacing or lifts, according to a recent study by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS).
The AAFPRS surveyed 618 men and found that 31% of the participants were “extremely likely” to consider a cosmetic procedure whether it be surgical or non-surgical. The survey results showed that 44% of men said they would have a treatment done to feel better about themselves, and 31% reported a willingness to make a “fix” to please a partner. Further, 31% of men said they wanted to look less tired and stressed, while 25% would consider a procedure to remain competitive in their workplace.

Among the surveyed men, hair was among one of their bigger concerns with 60% expressing that their hair bothers them most. The second most popular bothersome area among 44% of respondents were skin and eyes, and 22% were bothered by their chin and neck. The survey found that most men were not bothered by some “distinguishing forehead wrinkles.”
