Sneak Peek: Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants 19th Annual Fall Conference 2021
After a successful summer conference in Chicago, IL, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) has announced its second hybrid event of the year. From November 4 to 7, 2021, attendees will gather in Los Angeles, CA, or tune in from the comfort of their home or workplace to the SDPA 19th Annual Fall Conference 2021.
Packed Agenda of Learning
Over the conference’s three and a half days, dermatology PAs will have an opportunity to earn up to 26 category 1 CME and six category 2 CME credits through a packed agenda of live general sessions, product theaters, Deeper Dialogues, and workshops. Attendees will gain exposure to clinicians with experience treating inflammatory skin diseases, hair and nails, cosmetic dermatology, skin cancers, and more. Session highlights include:

The Deeper Dialogue presentations offer an extended look into select topics each day of the conference. Some of the available presentations include Rheumatology for the Dermatology PA with Amanda Mixon, PA-C; OTC Dermatology Medications with Tina Moussally, MPAS, PA-C; Biologics: Flares, Failures & Possible Fixes with Chris Arico, MPAS, PA-C; and Case Based Rashes in Pregnancy with James Worry, DHSc, MPAS, PA-C.
Networking With Peers and Industry
Opportunity to connect with exhibitors and industry can be invaluable to learning the latest emerging trends in treatment and newest evidence for current therapies. The SDPA 19th Annual Fall Conference 2021 offers full access to exhibitors, featuring hours on the first day from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and the second day from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Exhibitors and sponsors of the conference include AbbVie, UCB, Incyte Pharma, Ortho Dermatologics, Sun Pharma, Amgen, Janssen, Regeneron, Castle Biosciences, Galderma, LEO Pharma, Novartis, Verrica Pharmaceuticals, and Bristol Myers Squibb. Industry is also supporting various meal symposia, including lunch on November 4 as well as breakfast, lunch, and dinner on November 5 and 6.
Finally, after extended time away from colleagues and friends, the conference presents ample opportunity to connect and network with peers. Mornings and afternoons offer coffee breaks to recharge between sessions and chat with others. Additionally, the SDPA has lined up several special events, including an arrival party set the night before the conference kickoff, an official welcome event for attendees to flaunt their “Glitz & Glam”, and a farewell reception to conclude the event over cocktails and appetizers.
An Option to Attend In-Person or At-Home
Conference participation can be done in person or virtually through the SDPA’s livestream each day. In addition, registered attendees can review sessions on demand for a full 60 days after the event.
