Skin Cancer Foundation Accepting Research Grant Applications, Extends Deadline

The Skin Cancer Foundation is currently accepting applications for the 2018 Research Grant Awards Program. The application deadline has been extended to Thursday November 30, 2017. The grant program focuses on research projects and clinical studies that are related to improving methods of skin cancer prevention, detection, and treatment.

 

Researchers are encouraged to submit applications for 1-year projects that will be conducted in the dermatology departments of medical institutions within the United States. The Foundation will award one applicant a $50,000 grant, and 3 applicants will receive $25,000.

All submissions will be reviewed by the Foundation’s Research Grants Committee. The Committee members include, David Polsky, MD, PhD, Chair; Rhoda Alani, MD; Suephy Chen, MD, MS; Leonard H. Goldberg, MD; and Susan M. Swetter, MD.

The winning applicants will be notified by December 22, 2017, and must attend the awards presentation at the Foundation’s Research Grant Awards Reception on Friday, February 16, 2017, in San Diego, CA.
