The Dermatology Nurses’ Association Annual Convention

October 2019

The Dermatology Nurses’ Association (DNA) is excited to hold its 38th Annual Convention from March 18-21, 2020, at the Crowne Plaza Airport Hotel and Convention Center in the mile-high city of Denver, CO! Our convention this year is titled “Heightened Inspiration: Learning, Leading, Engaging in Dermatology Nursing.” The conference is an exciting opportunity for office staff, including medical assistants, licensed practical nurses, registered nurses, and nurse practitioners (NPs), to connect with old colleagues and network with new ones. Seasoned dermatology staff will also have an excellent opportunity to welcome, meet, and mentor those new to the field. There will be ample chances to socialize with peers as well as entertaining night-time activities at the conference.

DNA Annual Convention in Denver, CO

Many interesting topics will be presented in the Professional Development, Pediatric and Medical, and Surgical/Cutaneous Oncology tracks to enhance your daily practice. Of note, the NP Forum will be offered on Thursday, March 19, and Friday, March 20. This forum offers evidence-based education to meet the needs of dermatology providers. Be sure to register for the NP Forum when you register for the DNA Annual Convention!

The DNA is committed to meeting the educational needs of staff and providers working in the exciting field of dermatology. On Saturday, March 20, the Annual Convention will offer 3 all-day workshops with different focuses. The Aesthetics Workshop will focus on cosmetic neurotoxins, fillers, and the latest in lasers. The Dermatology Nursing Essential Workshop will focus on the fundamentals of dermatology nursing. This is a great workshop for all new employees in dermatology, but it is also an excellent review for more seasoned professionals as well as those planning to take the RN-DNC certification exam! The third workshop, the Joan Shelk Fundamentals of Phototherapy Workshop, will once again be offered for staff working with all phototherapies.

During the convention there will be several occasions to meet and learn from pharmaceutical representatives about new treatment choices for patients. We are grateful for these pharmaceutical companies who support the DNA and our conferences through presentations and the exhibit hall.

Please plan to join us in Denver from March 18-21, 2020, at the DNA’s 38th Annual Convention. For more information on the DNA, please visit www.dnanurse.org, and for more information on the upcoming convention, visit 2020.dnanurse.org.
