Laser Away Heel Pain
A new laser may help treat the pain and inflammation of plantar fasciitis.
The low-level FX635 laser promotes cellular regeneration through painless biostimulation, according to the manufacturer Erchonia Lasers. For those with chronic plantar fasciitis, the company says the non-invasive laser can improve comfort during walking and improve quality of life.
Erchonia notes that the laser has a triple-head, hands-free design, which allows the physician to see other patients while the FX635 does its work. The FX635 recently received FDA clearance, according to the company.

Three-dimensional printing, the wave of the future in numerous technologies, is coming to orthotics.
The 3D SOLS orthoses have a full range of features that can alleviate pain and improve comfort, according to the manufacturer SOLS Systems.
