Adjustable Comfort
Easy adjustability is one of the advantages of an innovative functional insert.
Exos® inserts feature a carbon nanotube shell that allows them to reform easily, according to the manufacturer Dr. Comfort. The company notes one can soften the insert with moderate heating via an exothermic patch.
The heating allows physicians to make adjustments in the office before the insert hardens back to its carbon graphite state when it cools, according to Dr. Comfort. As the company notes, with the Exos, one no longer has to send inserts back to the manufacturer for adjustment.
