Defeating Athlete`s Foot
When treating those who suffer from athlete’s foot, you may want to consider a new lotion that combines two ingredients to offer relief. The topical lotion deFEET® uses the advanced transdermal drug delivery system of PENtoCORE, which facilitates deeper penetration of the active ingredient of tolnaftate. BioChemics, the manufacturer of the product, says deFEET relieves athlete’s foot infection and itchy, scaly, burning feet. In fact, a clinical trial at the New England Medical Center showed that deFEET cured 100 percent of patients in 10 days, according to the company. It adds that many runners and athletes have been using the lotion. Company: BioChemics, Inc. Product: deFEET For more information, circle 399 on your reader service card. Guarding Against Morton’s Neuroma Are you looking for a more mininally invasive option in treating Morton’s neuroma and plantar fasciitis? The ISOGUARD™ System may be right up your alley. Koby Surgical, the manufacturer of the system, says it offers simplicity and effectiveness. The company says the ISOGUARD enables you to perform procedures such as Morton’s neuroma decompressions via one small incision instead of using endoscopic equipment. Among the four instruments in the ISOGUARD System is one that allows you to isolate the plantar fascia or the deep transverse metatarsal ligament, according to the company. It notes this key benefit enables podiatric surgeons to protect surrounding tissue and cut a pre-determined amount of fascia or ligament with a disposable blade.
