ICE-Guided Paravalvular Leak Occlusion

Video Supplement to “Percutaneous Occlusion of Paravalvular Aortic Leaks: A Single-Center Experience Focused on Intracardiac Echocardiography" [November 2019 Original Contribution article by Ribeiro, et al].

Percutaneous paravalvular leak (PVL) occlusion has emerged as an alternative to cardiac surgery for patients with symptomatic PVLs. Intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) is an appealing alternative to transesophageal echocardiography for guidance of percutaneous structural interventions. The following video series shows an example of a percutaneous occlusion of an aortic PVL under ICE guidance.
