Conservative Management of Spontaneous LAD Dissection

Video Supplement to “Conservative Management of Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection,” by Lorenzoni, et al. (September 2020 Clinical Images).

A 53-year old woman was diagnosed with type 1 spontaneous dissection of the mid-distal LAD coronary artery with TIMI 0 flow. In consideration of her clinical stability and anatomical features, we chose a “watchful waiting” strategy based on medical therapy. After 20 days, we performed a staged coronary angiography, which revealed a complete seal of the dissection in the LAD, with no evidence of residual stenosis and TIMI 3 flow.
