Integrating Clinical Pathways Into OptumCare Practices

In an interview between Winston Wong, PharmD, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Clinical Pathways, and Ann Nguyen, PharmD, Vice President of the Enterprise Pharmacy at OptumCare, a division of the UnitedHealthcare Group, Dr Nguyen discusses her efforts to implement clinical pathways into the OptumCare family of medical practices.

Drs Wong and Nguyen discuss the importance of remaining consistent across all OptumCare practices in the US when it comes to driving the standard of care and making clinical decisions. This interview also addresses the financial risks of this venture, and the main goals and focuses of this clinical pathways program.
