Active Threat/MCI Training Drill in Lake County, Ohio

The Lake County Active Threat/Mass Casualty Incident Drill Training Group, consisting of law enforcement, dispatch, and fire personnel from Lake County, Ohio, completed 3 consecutive days of active-threat/mass-casualty incident drills that commenced on June 21, 2022, and concluded on June 23, 2022. The drill, held at Lakeland Community College in Kirtland, Ohio, drew approximately 260 police, fire, and dispatch personnel from across Lake, Geauga, Ashtabula, and Cuyahoga Counties.

This training, now in its 5th consecutive year, provides an opportunity for first responders to train together on current active-threat/mass-casualty incident response operations. Training is designed for police, fire, and dispatch personnel throughout the area to work in a collaborative effort for response to critical incidents such as active shooters in populated areas.
