Exposing Medical Students to the Unique World of EMS

Four years ago, East Baton Rouge EMS in Louisiana implemented a program that brings in medical students and family medicine residents for pre-hospital clinical rotations including EMS ride times and shadowing EMS medical directors. The experience allows them to gain valuable insight into what EMTs and paramedics do.

This video profile explains how the program works, and how it enhances the education of tomorrow's medical practitioners.
