Priority Ambulance Celebrates 50 Graduates From Multi-Market EMS Academy
ATLANTA, GA—Priority Ambulance, serving Georgia through its Central EMS, Puckett EMS, and National EMS brands, proudly celebrated the graduation of 50 students from its innovative EMS Academy on March 30, 2025. These graduates completed their training through Priority's "Learn and Earn" program, which covered all tuition and materials while providing students an hourly wage throughout the 10-week course.
The program equipped students with essential EMT basics, preparing them for careers in emergency medical services. While Priority Ambulance has historically conducted training at individual locations, this marked the first time the company unified multiple Southeast markets into a single group. The instructor rotated among the various operations, delivering a hybrid educational experience combining in-person teaching with virtual instruction via smart video conferencing technology.
"Previously, each operation conducted its training independently," said Phil Koster, chief operating officer. "By implementing this hybrid approach using in-person and virtual methods, we can utilize our training resources better while maintaining educational quality across all our markets."
Graduates will next prepare for the National Registry examination before beginning their EMS careers at Priority Ambulance locations throughout Georgia and in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Priority Ambulance is the second largest provider of ambulance services in the U.S., serving communities across 13 states.
