Denver, CO.—Mission Critical Protocols (MCP ), a new clinical decision-support platform, and Air Methods, a leading provider of helicopter and fixed-wing critical care transport, have announced a new national partnership bringing innovative technology to their more than 1,500 clinicians at 250 bases serving communities across 48 states.

Mission Critical Protocols, founded by nationally renowned paramedics and technology leaders, help build and distribute clinical protocols, guidelines, and policies that healthcare providers rely on when treating the ill and injured. The software was developed over two years and launched in September 2023 at the EMS World Conference in New Orleans, receiving the 2023 Innovation Award highlighting its use of artificial intelligence (AI) in policy and protocol creation and clinical support.

"The Mission Critical Protocols solution has replaced several other applications in one useful platform—easy access to policies and guidelines with an incredible support structure,” said Jennifer Noce, NRP, CCEMTP,  FP-C, CCP-C, Director of Clinical Education for Air Methods. “We have the ability to create and edit documents quickly, publish to our end users, and have useful tools available to benefit our high acuity patients."

John Ehrhart, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer for MCP, echoed this sentiment: "Too often leaders responsible for policy management are resigned to accept burdensome and antiquated processes due to a lack of effective tools. We built Mission Critical Protocols to fix this and allow organizations to focus on what truly matters—enhancing patient outcomes."

MCP is partnering with fire departments and EMS agencies across the United States to streamline software needs and improve organizational health. Several new partnerships will be announced in the coming weeks and months.
