CAPCE Announces Winners of Richard S. Beebe Scholarship
DALLAS, TX—The Commission on Accreditation For Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE) in collaboration with the National Association of EMS Educators (NAEMSE) created an annual scholarship for NAEMSE's Level One Instructor Course in memory of Rich Beebe, past member of both CAPCE and NAEMSE board of directors.
Rich Beebe was a nationally known author, renowned EMS educator and an icon in New York State EMS. Beebe was a member of the State EMS Education and Training Committee and board member of NAEMSE as well as NAEMSE's appointed liaison to the CAPCE board of directors. He was well known for his vibrant persona, teaching style, knowledge, and professionalism. His efforts on behalf of CAPCE and NAEMSE were of great benefit to EMS providers across the nation.
It is with great pleasure that CAPCE and NAEMSE announce the winners of the 2024 Rich Beebe scholarship:

- Carson Combest
The annual fund is established to pay the tuition/course fee for EMS providers to take the NAEMSE Level One Instructor Course annually at the NAEMSE Symposium.
“CAPCE is honored to provide the funding for this scholarship,” a CAPCE release stated. “We hope that by providing funding for this program, we honor Richard's legacy in a way that would make him and his family proud.”
The Commission on Accreditation for Prehospital Continuing Education (CAPCE) was formed in 1992 to accredit EMS continuing education across states and jurisdictions. CAPCE accredits continuing education for most major EMS conferences, standardized EMS courses and distributive education. More information can be found at www.capce.org.
