AmeriPro Health Expands U.S. Footprint with Acquisition of Rapid Response EMS

ATLANTA (July 31, 2024) - AmeriPro Health, an industry leader in patient logistics and last-mile healthcare delivery, announced today the acquisition of Rapid Response EMS, a full-service EMS provider with nearly 200 employees headquartered in Romulus, Michigan, near Detroit. The transaction coincides with other strategic acquisitions AmeriPro has made in recent months, and establishes a new operating hub for the company in the broader Great Lakes region.

As part of the merger, AmeriPro is immediately upgrading the fleet with 18 new state-of-the-art ambulances that will serve Detroit and five other communities totaling two million residents across Wayne County. All Rapid Response employees are now part of the AmeriPro brand, including the company’s entire leadership team. AmeriPro is also aggressively launching a hiring campaign to bring more jobs and opportunities to paramedics and EMTs in the state of Michigan.

The move enables AmeriPro to deploy its game-changing logistics network and proprietary AI & data platform across the hospital footprint Rapid Response currently services, helping identify and eliminate bottlenecks, decrease ambulance response times, and optimize the overall patient experience.

Rapid Response has provided EMS services for Metro Detroit since 2004 and currently operates a fleet of 26 ambulances. The seamless integration of the two organizations creates a strong, dynamic presence in Detroit’s ultra-competitive EMS market.
