May 06—A Baltimore City firefighter is charged with assault after cutting a man in the neck with a knife outside a Taco Bell, Baltimore County police said Wednesday.

Police said Devon Darrel Scott, 25, of Baltimore, is charged with first- and second-degree assault.

Police said Scott and the victim got into a fight in the parking lot, when Scott cut the victim on his neck with a knife shortly before 6:45 p.m. April 30 outside the restaurant in 6800 block of Loch Raven Boulevard.

The victim, who was not identified, was taken to an area hospital and is expected to survive.

Police said Scott was later found and taken into custody. He has been released on $25,000 bail. Scott did not have an attorney listed in court records.

Baltimore County police identified Scott as a city firefighter. A spokesman with the city's fire department said he couldn't provide additional information on Scott Wednesday afternoon.
