No Injuries Reported in 3-Vehicle Crash in Alabama
June 05--An Oxford ambulance and two other vehicles were involved in a crash Thursday afternoon that resulted in no injuries.
Oxford police chief Bill Partridge said the Oxford Emergency Medical Services ambulance, driven by 20-year-old Kaleb Crosby, was responding to an emergency call at around 12:30 p.m. when it was struck by a black Saturn at the intersection of Plaza Drive and Alabama 21.
The driver of the Saturn, William Moore, 46, was headed south on Alabama 21, and told police he did not see the ambulance before hitting it, Partridge said.
As police were responding to the accident, a silver Hyundai, also headed south on Alabama 21, struck the black Saturn.
Police suspected that the driver of the Hyundai was impaired, and took him to Regional Medical Center to be tested, Partridge said. The driver was still at the hospital around 4 p.m. Thursday.
None of the drivers was injured in the accidents, Partridge said.
