New Emergency Medicine Alliance Announces Mission
The United States Alliance of Emergency Medicine (USAEM) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the quality of emergency medical care and protect the interests of all professionals involved in the care of emergency patients.
These professionals include, but are not limited to, physicians, physician extenders, nurses, paramedics and EMT technicians who are involved in providing emergency care or transport.
The Alliance strives to establish standards for a team-oriented approach among emergency care professionals and support the continuing education of these professionals. USAEM shall also support education of the general public in accident prevention, emergency treatment, and disease management and prevention.
The association's first annual meeting will be held August 20-22 in San Antonio, TX. For more information, visit www.usaem.org.
