Australian Paramedics to Attempt CPR World Record

Pine Rivers paramedics are encouraging people of all ages to take part in a world record breaking cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) attempt this September.

Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) say the current record for the most people performing CPR at the same time is 2308.

An ambulance spokesman from Pine Rivers said first aid instructors would oversee each event to ensure everyone was performing CPR correctly.

The spokesman said almost 70 per cent of cardiac arrests occurred within people's homes.

'The event will be held throughout Queensland at 2pm on September 10.
