Kentucky Paramedic Dies On Duty
MURRAY, KY -- Funeral services are set for Thursday for a paramedic who died following an EMS call.
Paramedic Brad Haugh experienced chest pains on Sunday after returning from an emergency while on duty with Clinton-Hickman EMS.
Haugh, 54, was taken to Three Rivers Hospital in Waverly, Tenn. where he died.
Haugh, who retired from the Murray Fire Department after 24 years, recently became certified as a paramedic.
He was a full-time paramedic with Murray-Calloway County EMS, and worked part-time at Clinton-Hickman.
Haugh, who has worked with Murray-Calloway since 1990, was described by a colleague as very dedicated.
Visitation will be held from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Murray.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday.
