Empire State Building Lit to Mark EMS Week

The Empire State Building, in partnership with the New York City Fire Department, was illuminated yellow, white and blue for three nights starting May 15 in celebration of EMS Week 2009.

EMS Week is an annual week-long series of events designed to promote public safety among all New Yorkers, attract potential EMS recruits and celebrate the life-saving efforts of more than 3,000 members of the FDNY Emergency Medical Service.
