15 Injured in FDNY Ambulance Collision

Fifteen people were injured, six of them seriously, on Friday when an ambulance collided with a car, which then plowed into a bus on busy 125th Street, authorities said.

The EMS ambulance was headed to Randall's Island to answer a call about an injury when the accident occurred at 11:45 a.m.

Sources said the ambulance struck a car at Seventh Avenue and West 125th Street, and the car careened into a M100 city bus.

Six people suffered serious injuries and nine others had minor ones. All the injured, who included the bus driver, were taken to St. Luke's Hospital. .

A preliminary investigation indicated it was an accident and no one was likely to be charged, sources said.

Also today, at 12:09 p.m. a man was struck and killed by a Lexington Avenue subway train at the 125th Street station.
