25 Hurt In Brookyln Bus Crash

A Brooklyn bus was smashed by an SUV yesterday in Bedford-Stuyvesant, leaving 25 passengers injured.
Witnesses said the B52 bus had the green light going east on Gates Avenue when a gray and maroon Chevrolet Silverado going north on Bedford Avenue sped into the intersection at around 5 p.m.
The SUV had "handicapped" plates, but it was unclear what type of disability the driver may have had.
The driver was taken to Brooklyn Hospital with chest injuries.
The injured passengers were treated at area hospitals for relatively minor neck and back pains, officials said.
