Former CA Paramedic Surrenders to Sheriff`s Office

A former Santa Cruz paramedic turned himself in to the sheriff's office on Friday on charges of sending harmful material to a minor over the Internet.

Bail for 27-year-old Nathan Contos was set at $20,000.

In February, Contos pleaded no contest to two counts of child molestation and a misdemeanor count of possessing child pornography.

Since then, police said two more teenage girls have come forward claiming Contos has had sexual relations with them.

Contos will be sentenced in the first case of molestation next month and will now likely face a slew of new charges.
