Colorado Ambulance Goes Over Embankment; 3 Injured
A South Park ambulance transporting a patient to Frisco went over an embankment Friday morning in Park County.
The patient, ambulance driver and attending paramedic were injured, according to Park County Public Information Officer Steve Groome.
The accident happened at 7:24 a.m. on Park County Road 6 at Quartsville. That's about 3 miles south of the top of Hoosier Pass.
The three people in the ambulance were transported to Summit Medical Center in Frisco and were evaluated.
The accident was thought to have been caused by icy, snow packed road conditions in the area.
